Red foxes are one of the most widespread, they say carnivores, but they're not technically carnivores.
They're omnivores.
But, like, I guess, predators.
You can say they're one of the most widespread in the world.
They live on most continents.
I'm Jessica Phoenix.
I'm one of the keepers here at the zoo, and we're going to go in and say hi to our foxes this morning.
They are both from a rehab situation.
So, Marian our little three legged fox, was an amputee.
So she has an injury that we have to kind of, like, monitor all the time.
And then, Robin it was an injury thing.
We were pretty certain from a car accident.
So the biggest thing is just, kind of making things as natural as possible.
The one that was raised by people.
He really likes to carry toys around.
They have a pretty varied diet.
They get two different kinds of kibble and they get meatballs and, like different prey items.
They like chicks and mice and quail and rats and all sorts of stuff.
When I say that they were like, well, that she was he was raised by people.
It's in a rehab situation.
So those are licensed people that do that to help the animals so that they can be released back into the wild.
Robin, because he wasn't able they kind of like, said that he just never learned how to Fox.
So he never really like he just they didn't think he was going to be able to find food for himself.
They do not make good pets.
They have very, very sharp teeth and very, very strong jaws.
They.
Yes, they're cute, but they're also extremely smelly.
I don't know if you can smell over there.
They basically smell like a skunk 24 seven.
They're they're pretty resilient.
And they can they can live in a variety of different situations Yearh, they're pretty well-rounded little critters.
