The new Planned Parenthood building will be located here in Northside off of Chanberlayne Avenue.
This land transfer will cost the nonprofit organization $10, which raised concerns on both sides.

This makes no sense.
KEYRIS MANZANARES: Over an hour of Monday's council meeting was devoted to residents speaking for and against a third Planned Parenthood location in Richmond.

Despite some of the misinformation shared before me, Planned Parenthood does provide lifesaving reproductive health care.
CRAIG REW: Mark my words, if you build this clinic, if you build this clinic, all of us, we will be on that sidewalk because we do not stand for this.
KEYRIS MANZANARES: Ultimately, the Richmond City Council decided to transfer the land to Planned Parenthood.
RaeANN PICKETT: People seeking abortion face unprecedented challenges - KEYRIS MANZANARES: Virginia League for Planned Parenthood communications director Rae Pickett says, RaeANN PICKETT: Virginia is going to be able to continue to be a place where folks can access the full range of reproductive health care.
KEYRIS MANZANARES: Pickett told me that at this time, there is no proposed development timeline for this new Planned Parenthood building.
