New Jersey sees increase in homicides in 2020

Paterson is among the cities dealing with a 2020 homicide rate that’s set a new record.

Cities across the country saw homicides rise in 2020. Paterson is one such city, and it plans to add more police officers to the force. Trenton is another that city with officials recording some of the highest numbers in three decades.
