(bright music) - The Rotary Club of Salt Lake City unites professionals, community leaders, and changemakers to create lasting, positive impact worldwide.

Nick Marsh joins us in the studio to share how the organization works to alleviate issues also here in Salt Lake City.

Welcome, Nick.

- How are you?

- I'm doing well.

Thank you so much for asking.

So tell me about the Rotary Club.

I'm excited to hear about what the local chapter's up to.

- Yeah, so we're a global nonprofit.

Club 24, Salt Lake City Rotary Club is actually the 24th club ever created.

It's a massive nonprofit that touches everywhere throughout the world.

It's got Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary members, which is high schoolers, college kids, and people like myself in their working profession.

So we do projects in Morocco, in Africa.

We do projects here locally in Salt Lake as well as in Utah.

So it's a great way to meet other professionals as well as do good in your community.

- And what kind of appealed to me is that it's not just one age group of people.

Like you said, there are people in high school that are involved all the way on throughout like retirees and everything.

What does having those connections and working together in a group in that large way mean to you?

- It's important.

I mean, I'm in sales.

It's important to grow my network.

You know, because of Rotary, I had the opportunity to have dinner with Orrin Hatch.

I'm not from Utah.

I don't have a large network out here.

It's opened doors to me that I would've never imagined.

I mean, Mike Young is a member who's the CEO of YESCO.

I'm able to give him a call and talk to him and chat with him about anything I might need.

The mentorship has been second to none.

- How do you join?

- Yeah, yeah, so it's saltlakecityrotary.org.

slcrotary.org is a good way to learn about us and learn more information.

We also meet every Tuesday at noon for lunch and would love to have anyone stop by.
