Union and hospital leaders today said they've worked out terms for a new contract.
120 days after the hospital's 1700 nurses first walked off the job.
Now details aren't being revealed what the head of the nurses union said in a statement today.
The contract includes enforceable safe staffing standards for the very first time.
That was a sticking point in the negotiations, but it's still not a done deal.
The nurses who are represented by United Steelworkers 4- 200 have to ratify the agreement, which could happen as early as next week.
And both sides have been here before reaching a contract agreement back in July that was rejected by union members leading to the strike.
Since then, the hospital says it spent more than $120 million on replacement nurses to keep the facility running, while nurses have been without paychecks and health benefits.
A spokesperson for the hospital today said this latest contract agreement, quote, reflects our shared goals of providing the highest quality patient care and creating a safe and supportive working environment for our nurses.
