Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis and City Manager Patrick Urich discuss the proposed 2018 city budget. City revenue from state sources is down $2.7-million dollars and local revenue is down $6.8-million. To address the shortfall, the proposed budget includes a net cut of 11 city staff, an increase in the garbage collection fee and a new stormwater utility fee of about $8 a month on a typical house.
