Peoria and Normal officials discuss the reasons behind stormwater utility fees.

The city of Peoria is federally required to correct combined sewer overflow problems, costing more than the annual city budget. It also has a backlog of water drainage issues. Peoria's mayor, city manager and public works director will discuss a new stormwater utility fee for all property to cover the costs. They are joined by the public works director of Normal, which already has such a fee.
