The 1000# Project involves five teams identifying and finding solutions to local issues.

Five teams with six young people each are attempting to find low-cost solutions to issues facing the Peoria area. State Senator Chuck Weaver and three of the young team leaders discuss this new effort called the 1000# Project – the one-thousand pounds project. The goals are to develop a pool of future leaders, build relationships among ethnic groups and improve the area through targeted missions.
