Sandhills health leaders works to improve birth outcomes

A group of health workers in the Sandhills region is working to improve health equity.

The Improving Community Outcomes for Maternal and Child Health (ICO4MCH) Initiative was established in 2015 to improve birth outcomes, reduce infant mortality, and improve health among young children. One of their regional collaboratives, which sets out to improve health equity, is the Sandhills Collaborative (Hoke, Scotland, Richmond, and Montgomery Counties).
