In 2020, women in New Jersey earned on average 82 cents for every dollar that men earned
Equal Pay Day is Tuesday, March 15, the date that symbolizes how far into the year women must work to catch up with what men earned in the previous year, according to the National Committee on Pay Equity. What progress, if any, is being made on equal pay for women in New Jersey? Dr. Sarah Small, of the Rutgers Center for Women and Work, described progress on the issue as "a bit stagnant."
