A report found the national unemployment rate for formerly incarcerated is 27 percent.

A new report by the Prison Policy Initiative, a group that calls for prison reform, found that the national unemployment rate for the formerly incarcerated is 27 percent. New Jersey had made a concerted effort to ease the reentry process, passing Ban the Box legislation in 2015 to help reduce unemployment among former inmates. But has the policy made a difference?
