Today we have a STEM event.
We have something that is sponsored by the Bell Museum out of St. Paul.
They generously have provided all of these activities for us for free.
- So we have 12 different activities, making catapult, make your own diorama.
- We have a display where you can actually push a rock to imitate what a glacier would have done millions of years ago to create our landscape.
And we have an air cannon where you can actually shoot air.
Obviously you can't see that, but you can see the effects of it.
- One of our missions is to, let's say, promote lifelong learning.
And this kind of fun education activities would be a great time to instill learning is fun and exciting.
- This is a way to bring people into the library to showcase what we do here, that we're not just all about books and checking out books, and that's all we have.
We have so many different kinds of educational programs for kids, and when we can do this for free, it's even better.
