Marcia Franklin talks with poet, novelist, essayist and teacher Naomi Shihab Nye. Nye is known for elevating the ordinary in her works. A Palestinian-American, she also writes frequently about Middle Eastern issues. Franklin and Nye discuss the themes in her works, her writing style and her advice for writers.
