As expected, the US Senate passed a $95 billion foreign aid package to help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
The House passed the bill over the weekend.
The Senate vote was 79 to 18, with three senators not voting.
US Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky was one of those three.
Senator Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, voted yes.
He has been outspoken in his support for continuing aid for Ukraine.
Here is Senator McConnell after last night's vote.
Our enemies have tested whether the option of democracy is in fact built to endure.
Well, tonight, the Senate will send a clear message.
History will record that even as allies and partners may have worried about the depth of our resolve, even as Moscow, Beijing and Tehran grew more convinced that our influence and run its course.
And even as loud voices here at home insisted on abandoning the responsibilities of leadership, they stepped up and the Senate held firm.
Of the 95 billion, 61 billion will go to Ukraine.
President Biden signed the bill today.
The Pentagon says it will rush $1,000,000,000 worth of supplies to Ukraine immediately.
