Seattle Voters are unsettled in their politics, a new Crosscut Elway poll found, in response to questions ranging from crime and safety, party leaning to taxes, ahead of the November general election.
The poll gathered information from about 400 likely voters, those individuals who voted in at least two of the last four city elections.
Although many voters are still making up their minds about the November election, those surveyed didn't seem ready to make any major changes at City Hall.
When asked who are you more likely to vote for?
Nearly 50% said a progressive candidate whereas 37% said a centrist one.
An overwhelming majority of respondents, some 65%, agree that council candidates should support hiring more police.
Another interesting finding from voters when asked how should Seattle cover a budget shortfall?
Almost 65% support new taxes on the largest businesses and roughly 60% favor taxing the highest income residents.
