#### The General Assembly's special session ended last night, as the Republican-dominated legislature passed two bills stopping statewide mask mandates.
School mask policy will now be up to individual school districts.
#### Responding today, the governor said the General Assembly now "owns" this pandemic.
He said lawmakers were wrong to end the statewide mask mandate.
#### Kentucky has more than 5-thousand new COVID cases for the second time this week.
And the state crossed 30 deaths in a single day for the third time this week, the first time that has happened since February.
Hospitalizations hit another new high.
#### The state says general fund receipts were up 12 and a half percent, from last August to this August, while the road fund was up more than five percent.
