Fortune lived in Red Bank for more than a decade

A new TV series is bringing the life and legacy of T. Thomas Fortune to the forefront. HBO’s The Gilded Age features Fortune as a character. The prominent Black journalist lived in Red Bank for more than a decade. His home, now known as the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, gives visitors a look into the impact he made on history.
