Researchers are keeping a close eye on the subvariants emerging from the omicron strain of the coronavirus and what they mean for public health. And while a new bivalent booster that offers protection against these new strains is available, it 's being taken up by far fewer New Jerseyans than lined up for earlier COVID-19 vaccines.
