In Simon Rattle’s Farewell Concert: Mahler’s 6th Symphony, the conductor says goodbye.
Sir Simon Rattle began his work with the Berliner Philharmoniker in 1987 by conducting Gustav Mahler's 6th Symphony. In retrospect Rattle says, “I felt that I was finding my voice on that day.” Sir Simon appears for the last time as chief conductor in this 2018 performance, and his tenure comes full circle as he chooses to conduct Mahler's 6th Symphony again.
