Okay, so, yes, my name is Anaiet.
I wrote a piece.
I was looking up hush harbors for our upcoming album, and I ran across this article that spoke about Nat Turner.
And I was reading that there was an eclipse around the same time that he planned, you know, his famous revolt and whatnot.
And there's this quote that everyone always says in reference to him and that event, and it's like... [ Sighs ] ..."As a black spot passes over the sun, so shall the Blacks pass over the earth."
And that was, like, a really kind of powerful... [ Woman ululating ] Yeah.
That was really powerful to kind of, like, read and see.
And it just kind of did something to me, and I had to get all the energy out, so I wrote a little song, and it's called "Black Spot Over the Sun."
And you can kind of interpret all of that however you want, I guess.
I don't really know.

Well, so you can know a little bit more about us, Anaiet wrote some amazing music, and she's gonna tell you a little bit about it.

Okay, so, yes, my name is Anaiet.
I wrote a piece.
I was looking up hush harbors for our upcoming album, and I ran across this article that spoke about Nat Turner.
And I was reading that there was an eclipse around the same time that he planned, you know, his famous revolt and whatnot.
And there's this quote that everyone always says in reference to him and that event, and it's like... [ Sighs ] ..."As a black spot passes over the sun, so shall the Blacks pass over the earth."
And that was, like, a really kind of powerful... [ Woman ululating ] Yeah.
That was really powerful to kind of, like, read and see.
And it just kind of did something to me, and I had to get all the energy out, so I wrote a little song, and it's called "Black Spot Over the Sun."
And you can kind of interpret all of that however you want, I guess.
I don't really know.
I just -- Yeah.
