The House and Senate met today for the first day of the 2026 Special Session, tasked by the Governor to take on redistricting, removing QR codes from ballots, ratify the now expired state gas tax suspension, and address local property tax reductions. Republicans stated in a surprise announcement that they would not be changing the current voting maps during this session.
