On the final day of the Special Session both chambers passed new election rules for 2028.
On Day 5, SB 3EX, a bill which will remove the QR code from ballot tabulation by 2028 was passed in the House as well as in the Senate with some minor changes and signaled the end of the special session. Left unfinished, the "Local Homestead Option Sales Tax" referendums failed to get support needed in both chambers and will have to be taken up again in the 2027 legislative session.
