My first time doing a competition was very intense.

It's incredibly frantic.

My legs are shaking, my hands are shaking.

My eyeballs are going blurry on me.

I end up sweating all the time while I'm puzzling.

I've been speed puzzling for almost two years.

I'm a pretty competitive person, so being able to compete in these type of competitions kind of scratches an itch that I have.

You know, being able to get with other people, do something that we all like to do and then see how fast or how much faster can you do it than someone else.

Four years ago, I went to my first state Colorado speed jigsaw puzzle contest.

And so I started doing more competitions in the area, but realized that there weren't any competitions in Colorado Springs.

So I found a place to rent out and started running my own competitions.

We've been running events since June.

And this section is coming together, but not easily.

I am brand new to speed puzzling.

I didn't know what to expect going into my first mini tournament.

The community is amazing.

Puzzling is such a niche, like, nerdy little hobby, so it's fun to talk to other people.

We're all like, "What's favorite kind of puzzle and pieces that you like?"

Speed puzzling, it's growing in Colorado.

I don't know if that's due to us, or if it's just due to more people knowing about it.

Because once you do it once, you've eaten the fruit and you want to do it again.
