I am Katie Larsen, the outreach librarian at Spooner Memorial Library, and I am here with the bookmobile today.
I've been going since 2021.
We got a grant for about $100,000, around COVID you know, as a Covid response.
And we bring books to people that cannot come to the library.
There are people that live out in these townships, and it takes them 20 minutes to get to the library.
Instead, I bring it to within a few miles of their home.
My name is Diane Parker.
I am a library assistant and I'm a substitute library assistant.
Libraries are essential, and libraries are the heart of the community.
Without a public library and a place for people to gather, so many folks would not have access to materials that they can't otherwise get.
We have a rotating collection, so we have more at the library that will get changed out very soon here.
I like this job more than any other job I've had in my entire life.
I get to do something different every single day.
