Females will lay eggs until hard frosts arrive

Throughout the summer, spotted lanternflies were a menace to trees and other plants in NJ. And swarms of the invasive species are likely to continue through October and much of November. So far there hasn’t been significant damage in the state, but repeated infestations could wear down and kill plants over time.
