We, facilitate and coordinate a lot of activities and events out of the American Indian Learning Resource Center here on the campus at UMD in Duluth.
(Greeting in Ojibwe).
I'm Jeremy.
I'm assistant director in the American Indian Learning Resource Center.
What we're doing is honoring those manidooke that come with the season, you know, and honoring this change in time and welcoming into this, time period, a feast where we acknowledge those spirits.
The American Indian Learning Resource Center has fundamentally always supported our native students and any students who come through our area.
I'm a native student at the American Indian Learning Center.
You can smell the smudge coming down the hallway, and it's cool to just just learn some new things for people and then just celebrate.
If you already know things.
Well, what kind of drew me to the center was I was a native student living for hours away from my rez, and I just wanted to see if I could find, like some sort of community.
And then I found it.
What we're doing is acknowledging the spirit of the spring and, and this new start to the year, and really just having the best wishes and hopes for our students here, people in the community that good energies and good spirits are always, you know, and apparent.
