“I have been very open about my mental health, but this is like another layer,” says Sara Mearns about creating the ballet “Don’t Go Home,” commissioned as part of her curatorial debut at New York City Center’s Artists at the Center program. “Stage Animal” goes inside the process as the dancer works with choreographer Guillaume Côté, actor-writer Jonathon Young and dancer Gilbert Bolden III.
