State Representative Ryan Dotson of Winchester says he'll run.
Dotson has been in office since 2021.
He announced his plans to run in the 2026 primary in a Facebook video.
I am calling on all my friends, all my relatives, all of my neighbors, all of those who I will meet in the future to help me win this race.

State Senator Amanda mayes Bledsoe and former state Senator Damon Thayer, both Republicans, have each been mentioned as possible candidates in this race.
