House Budget Chairman Jason Patriots House Bill 444 gives a 6% pay raise to employees and the legislative, judicial and executive branches, judicial branch workers and all elected officials will see a $2,000 increase with the 6% increment on top of that.
Last year, state lawmakers approved an 8% across the board pay raise for state workers.
The pay raise plan advanced from the House and our committee today without opposition and now waits for action by the full House.
