this this woman is driving him she's lost and she needs directions to get to i-95 and she finally been driving round season man sitting on the chair in front of his house he stops the car and he says to him do you know I can get to 95 and he said yes eat well and drive carefully oh my life circles but i can tell you why seasons spinning around in the years keep rolled by i'm robin and i grew up in Toronto but I go back to visit quite often to see my mother we have a very special relationship to each other and I think she's quite extraordinary person every time I go to Toronto I'm very nervous because as she's getting older I don't know how I'm gonna find her and of course she does age a little bit each time I I come and so far no but just see you there's some nice to see you Robin hi what a nice starter on her if you're gonna video everything that I say I have to be very careful I want to be spontaneous okay but anyway would you like to go for a walk at the park tomorrow to go for strolling through the park one day in the merry merry month of me have a shaken by surprise by a pair of Leanne's while strolling through the park one day you're a ham tell me who you are a little bit about yourself well how much time do we hear everything goes I go back a long way oh my dear what a lovely day this is she is filming away mr. blue martini so what are you gonna have for breakfast the usual mmm know what I think I'm going to have some oatmeal I don't see my mother as being old I just see her as a very young spirit and I'll always see her that way I just just she's just not old to me Stella which is what I call her now is quite an extraordinary person other than being my mother she has always done some thing i saw an ad in the paper and it called for people to come down and sell royal typewriters well the first day out I took my typewriter to some of the relatives I had of course say they had to buy us since I was a relative I was a nice and i sold I think three the first day so the next day I was a prime seller three typewriters and I had to make a speech about how I sold it anyway a young man came over to me and said my friend wants to meet you he wants to be properly introduced and he brought over the man that would become your father my mother's full of ideas she thinks that she invented the swiffer she's always thinking coming up with things so she came up with us what she thought was a brilliant idea you remove nail polish with a liquid substance I went to bloomingdales and I went to me season i went to Gimbels and I went wherever and I started to sell it well I had to demonstrate it it wasn't removing the polish so I I thought up a little trick I thought if I put on nail polish dust before I go into the fire that might help and that did help because it was sort of whip I'd anything would have taken it off I guess Oh Craig get there that and I bought it may advertise him I'd resold it one night I was reading in bed was about eleven thirty and there was an article in the paper about a group in Detroit that has started lecture series and it was very successful and the light bulb went on I can do that I thought we signed up five people one of them was Lowell Thomas know a lot of people today don't know who Lowell Thomas is but they know who Walter Cronkite was Lowell Thomas was even bigger than Walter Cronkite in his day was very very big it became very very successful I had a call from an agent who knew me and she said this was right after Sir Edmund Hillary of climb Mount Everest and he said would you like to bring him to Toronto sure oh boy this was Hillary and others this was Edmund Hillary we came out of the stage to her on our way to the railroad station and there were a bunch of people crowding around to see him and one man reached out and touched re and he screamed I touched him I touched him but in Montreal oh the mayor greeted us with the red carpet & Wine & Roses photographers in mayor's office 30 gala I meant on my french at computers i know i have the ipad know you've got everything you hooked up mmm no she got me on twitter twitter twitter and twitter yeah and I'm Piers Morgan and Alec Baldwin are having it time to say you should get in on that um you need a young Butler a young guy when I need is in rumors I need a male robot could be came in with us I would do the dishes cook a little bit so I've been going with closet waiting to it I had booked up Duke of Bedford but I wasn't selling tickets and Toronto is sort of English oriented and I thought they would be interested when they were it so I was trying to think of something and I suddenly had an idea and I called the editors of all our papers and said took the Bedford's coming with you know he told me that he was interested in buying casa loma a casa loma is probably the only castle in North America so there was a whole lot in the paper front page I couldn't have bought that kind of publicity I never had so much fun in my life and then I reserved a place but at so-called nightclub and the next day there's a big picture of him on the front page of one of the papers pouring champagne into the shoe of the Czech girl he would do anything for publicity it was a fun day the Kiwanis Club said we will not sell em casa loma however it as a courtesy we will take him through on a tour what did you say I simply asked you how i buy them out because every time I try to go up it won't sell it to me go on where am I iPad think can I do other things on here while it's loading yeah what do you want to do you want to buy more apps to email yeah do you want to buy another app we can keep going with the apps ok sure ok let's go tonight at eight o'clock as a launcher on my favorite station she's here The Misfits with Clark Gable and the hell oh that would be fun that was your he died shortly after noon for Clark Gable he's handsome no he hasn't you don't think so Wow several years very big that's me beautiful Marilyn Monroe is amazing it's almost 10 Bonanno sitting next to you you just shy she started something called cinema 16 which we like to think is the predecessor to the Toronto Film Festival which showed at that time they called them underground films they were 16 millimeter films and I screamed countless hundreds of films to assemble a series of unusual films these were films that you could not see any other place they were made and certain hidden away but and that was just before the famous toronto international film festival saturday what are you gonna do with George Clooney mom oh that's not what I'm gonna do with him is cause he's gonna do with me are you going barefoot yes you're the Barefoot Contessa yes I am but that means you must have been a Contessa too I was a signorina uh-huh I've narrowed it up are you kid to you mom but George won't be it there we're going to the film festival awards luncheon and George may not be there am I getting in the woman you're getting a word for being the oldest person in the room well you may not be you know I roby yeah you deserve an award for more than that it was our taxi here easier the taxis here what didn't you say bye-bye birdie why are you saying bye bye birdie just came every day four seasons hotel for lunch do you know where the lunches for the film festival second Clark to Mum hey we shall see you look quite elegant did you enjoy the lunch yes for me let's look at the beautiful flowers they're gorgeous today huh I think sometimes people think that when you get older you have to stop but I think once you stop that's when you get older tell me about the book that was published well it was a collection of a lot of the people that I imagined a lot of places I'd be in a little bit about my life I said when Christopher Plummer said god bless you we were at the four seasons hotel it was time to go home and I said I'd like to go to the ladies room and you said I'll go with you and we left hard things at the table and when we came back there were three young young black men sitting at our table we said this is our table they jumped up and we said no it'sit's okay cuz we're leaving and there was a another black man standing nearby he came over to me and he kissed me and I didn't know who he was and turns out he was Jamie Foxx the next night and we're down at the four seasons and a big black limo pulls up a distance little distance away an out steps Jamie Foxx and he looks over at us and he runs over to me ah and he kisses me when we found out his grandmother's name was a still but he didn't know my name so I don't think there's any clue there i'm working on a plane now i'm not really working very hard on it but I'm I am busy with a plate that is giving me more trouble than any of the plays that I've written I want you all when you're rocking to town to yourself one two three and now take your vows everybody at the same time Doug Miriam everybody one two three take your vows the body or just the head bow yeah but never gone what you how much power in jail one though you don't bail that's not easy I don't know a big earner cloud they're gonna time we went over that several times exactly what I want you to do and I'll go within yes for your sake there and your weight of your time what you walk slowly and you get to the chair and you stand there and wait okay and then you say come on dub I am going to be saying a few words before the play starts and when I say the words and now let us visit the Palm Beach palace that you will have been rocking or you will start rocking or you but that is when ed says her first word but please come in on your cue especially you Maria Maria I'm listening I want your family say and now he feels the Palm Beach palace that's when the play starts you're rocking away I don't see any of you rocking an owie detox so what did he look like that's not the beginning how glee star has a beginning I think in her own way she she holds the key to her kind of Fountain of Youth that she's always continuing to to grow and to learn and to read and um you have to keep that energy going through you all the time thank you who was the right over the plate this is a play about five women or old-time friends we have a weekly bridge game and army in this particular day they are playing and they're talking as they always here and suddenly it turns out that one of them is having an affair it's not a deep thing as a light little fluffy okay okay I think people were like it so you might take a moment to go through the script if you want to the name of the character is on every page and that's it in my first page has a cast my mother has done so much in her life but in the building that she lives in when she sees people in the elevator they only know her as the park lady how'd you like the flowers beautiful lovely my mother was the biggest benefactor of the park and the Creator and she did this in her 90s dishes restroom destiny has ruled my whole life made me meet your father meet us move to Canada it made me be that article that night that made me start doing my shoulders maybe do a lot of things so I think there's something called destiny incorporated it's a company and that's set up with a lot of divisions a lot of souls working sesame incorporated may help people nonprofit we have a used to do yeah I don't really feel like I'm aging I feel like I feel like I'm just I feel like I'm still here and I've been here for a while longer now and it's always a while longer but i'm also very present in the moment i'm in the middle of my medication my vitamins your what my vitamins that how you see don't live to be a hundred fifty don't you okay so that's why I'm taking this they think you're amazing because you can talk and think and walk amazing the things you did yesterday you're not supposed to be able to do today cuz ill you're old I don't send our minds I never stand in lines anymore when I sick of them young so well it's not great to be old there is certain benefits you get out of it merlot ages but a number so if you feel old you're gonna be old you know when when you're 20 and when you're 80 you still feel the same I've always felt the youngin all my life and that hasn't changed not really oh I feel wonderful oh I many tendency to push you a little further into dreaming I just go with the flow baby you I think age is a very relative thing if you sit and heard about your age gonna feel a little and as long as you can think you would do it I don't see any point and coddling myself if I have another week another month another year two years I'll keep going and maybe they'll bury me what I have pen in my hand I don't know how can just keep writing maybe you can write in the next world if I want to dance hotels around my living room if I want to doesn't matter sunrise and someday time to the day Oh to say seasoned spinning well it seems like I've been here before I can't remember where I discovered the secret of getting rid of wrinkles what is that you take off your glasses when you look at the merits you don't see them yet you just look like anybody you want along no angles you
