Trial shows Dexamethasone reduced deaths among critically ill COVID-19 patients

A new study out of Oxford University suggests some of the lives lost to COVID-19 could have been saved with the help of dexamethasone, an inexpensive and widely used steroid drug. If the findings bear out, it would be the first drug known to reduce deaths of severely ill COVID-19 patients.
