A Chicago native, Steve moved to the area to go to college to be an art teacher. Along the way be began tattooing, attracted to the graphic style of heavy metal album covers and the skateboard culture. Two decades later he has earned a reputation as one of the top Japanese-style tattoo artists in the nation. His highly prized work mirrors 17th century woodblock designs in color, style and motif.
