I'm her husband.

I'm# also a chef here at Stiltsville Fish Bar.

The way we got started, it was, gosh,# it was probably 2014 or so.

I asked a beautiful woman to go on a date and I had a# little boat at the time and we parked right here in this marina and I picked her up and# we drove out to a place called Stiltsville.

Stiltsville is this magical little area out# in the middle of water off Key Biscayne.

[Janine] Here at Stiltsville Fish Bar, we focus# on local Florida fish.

We’re a Florida fish house.

We really love to focus our menu on all# of the classic dishes that you would find in a fish house with our innovative twists on some# of the classic dishes.

Some of our signature dishes that you won't find anywhere else, I# would say would be our buffalo fish wings, which are really unique.

They're coated in a# buffalo sauce.

So it's almost like you're eating a buffalo chicken wing, but it's a buffalo fish# wing.

Something that you won't find anywhere else.

I'm from the South, born and raised.

So we preach# the gospel of true hospitality.

Just being kind, treating your guests just like you would# be treating your brother or your sister or your father or mother.

Stiltsville Fish Bar is a# comfortable, beautiful restaurant.

Lots of fresh fish.

You can come in your flip flops or in a# suit and find something you want and leave happy.

So you say not to sleep on the fried chicken?

So Maria, what were your first thoughts?# Because this is on a busy area.

Right.

In South B.. We get in, they have parking right there.# It's paid parking.

It's a metered parking.

You mean across?

Right across the street?

Right next to it.

I was like,# okay, I love this place already, right?

They looked, you know, you love# the sound of your own name, right?

They looked you up.

Yeah.

And so we had a great seat.

I walked# in, it's like a Miami Beac.. [Michelle] JP, first thoughts?

I love the decor.

I'm a boat guy and a nautical# and it brought me back without being ..

Right.

But it was definitely cool.

I ca..

Right, exactly.

Lookin.. [Michelle] And there's a lot of touches.

A lot of subtle, not obnoxious.

No subtle, totally subtle touches.

Alright, Ray,# so go ahead and tell me everything you had to eat.

[Ray] The honey rolls with# a miso butter on the side.

Yeah.

Oh my God.

[Ray] Some fluffy rolls that you would just pick# with your hand and dip it in the mi.. was just incredible.

And we had something# on the menu called Buffalo Fish Wings.

Hmm.

And what it is, is t.. it's like a finger food.

You hold# onto the gill of the fish and you eat it with your hand and it's dipped# in buffalo sauce.

Really, really good.

Wow.

[Ray] It's sort of like deep fried.

[Michelle] Right.

[Ray] And we a.. [Michelle] Okay.

[Ray] And it comes with a lemo.. [Michelle] Okay, JP?

It was the type of restaurant# when you looked at the menu, you're like, I don't know what to# order 'cause I wanna order everything.

Right.

Well, we s.. Oh, I wanted that.

What is that?

It's like a assortment of appetizers and it's# ..

Tackle box, how cute.

[Michelle] Oh.

[JP] Most people d.. had it.

It's not a popular menu.# And I tried it and it was like, it's one of my favorite fish.

And# then I had the crab wedge salad.

Cocktails?

[Ray] My girlf.. [Michelle] Okay.

[Ray] And then they kept them coming, you know?

[Michelle] That's great.

[Ray] They don't leave you a glass empty.

Key lime pie, anyone?

Key lime pie.

I had it.

I enjoyed it.

I'm a key li.. How about you Maria?

Did you have any dessert?

We didn't have dessert.

My daughter had# scallops with pork belly.

Delicious, very good.

And it came with sweet potato mash# on the bottom.

It was like a good, you know?

Salty, sweet.

[Ray] A sandwich, yeah.

They have# a hog sandwich there as well.

[Maria] Yes, and that came with the mashed# potatoes and a little mixed salad on the side.

How was the service for you?

The service was great.

The server was very friendly.

My daughter was flirting# with him the whole time, you know?

That's cute.

So yeah, it was really nic.. to go back.

I can't wait to go# back for brunch for sure, yeah.

[Michelle] How are the prices, Ray?

Very good.

Reasonable.

Yeah?

You kn.. Well, Ray, Stiltsville was your# pick.

Sum it up for us, please.

You know, if you're looking for a great fish# spot for brunch or for dinner, it's your spot.

But please don't go to sleep on the fried# chicken.

You gotta have the fried chicken.

For a great themed restaurant that brings# you back to fishin.. it's definitely a great little spot to# go to.
