Rhode Island PBS Weekly heads to Maine where contributing reporter Kira Kay meets the staff of the American Roots apparel company, primarily comprised of immigrants from 8 different countries. While the company has been making sportswear since 2015, they pivoted their entire manufacturing effort to exclusively produce masks and other personal protective equipment as a response to the pandemic.
