A Rhode Island-based guitar maker is reimagining how instruments are made.

Rachel Rosenkrantz says the environmental impact of making guitars has been well known for decades. Much of the timber used for guitars comes from old, rare trees that produce good acoustics. As part of the continuing Green Seeker series, Rosenkrantz shares how she's experimenting with a new way to strike a chord by making guitars out of surprising biomaterials, like honeycomb and mushroom fiber.
