Scott Van Atta discusses music composition and performance.
Scott began to play trombone in the school band program in the fifth grade. He learned to play the bass (tuba) in the sixth grade and joined the middle school jazz band and began to learn to compose in seventh grade. In eighth grade he founded the Myrtle Creek Community Band. Scott plays with the South Umpqua High School Jazz, Pep, and Symphonic bands.
