For years, the U.S. saw a steep decline in the number of deaths from heart disease, stroke, diabetes and hypertension – known collectively as cardiometabolic disease. But that downturn has mostly leveled off since 2011, according to researchers. We discuss the rising rate of heart disease with Dr. Vincent Bufalino, a cardiologist with Advocate Medical Group.
