Younger children could be just weeks away from receiving vaccines for COVID-19. Ahead of a Food and Drug Administration meeting next Tuesday to consider a recommendation to vaccinate children at a younger age, Pfizer released a new study that showed its vaccine is more than 90% effective at preventing symptomatic infections in 5- to 11-year-olds.
