Democratic candidate and former U.S. State Department official Jason Blazakis has suspended his campaign on Tuesday, clearing the field for Sue Altman to become the presumptive Democratic nominee in the upcoming election.
The longtime progressive activists will challenge incumbent Republican Tom Kean, Jr. NJ Globe first reported the abrupt exit by Blazakis who's now endorsing Altman's effort to flip the seat blue again.
All eyes are on this race.
Democrat Tom Malinowski won the seat during the blue wave in 2018 against four term Republican incumbent Leonard Lance, but he was unseated back in 2022 by Tom Kean Jr.
