Advocates push for safe injection sites in NJ

Nearly 3,000 thousand overdose deaths reported in NJ between April 2020 and April 2021
Sen. Joe Vitale is planning to reintroduce a bill establishing a pilot program that would place four overdose prevention centers across the state. Results are already being seen in nearby New York City where the first supervised injection sites in the country recently opened. Advocates say the facilities will be one step closer in the fight against addiction.
