A controversial case is being heard at the nation’s highest court.

Supreme Court justices are weighing a Louisiana law that requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. The court struck down a similar Texas law in 2016, but since then, President Donald Trump has appointed Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh to the court, and both had strong backing from anti-abortion groups.
