I'm the exhibitions director and here at the Duluth Art Institute And today we are visiting with a Saint Pau who is exhibiting in the George Gallery.
And his name is Ta-coumba T. Aik Ta-coumba is an abstract artist In this exhibition, he's showing in acrylic, painted on canvas.
And in general, he has two theme running through his techniques.
One is what he calls spirit writ And it's a meandering thought pr as he's painting.
And the other one is called Rhythmic patterns.
And he creates those patterns by layering tape, painting, remo repainting and going on and on in that manner.
he's really interested in learni what people see in his work.
he knows that he sees, but the more he talks to people, the more he ends up reading into his own work and it helps him grow as a perso The slice from PBS North.
