What has ‘Taco Tuesday’ got to do with the giveaway — and the NJ exception?

Taco Bell, the fast-food chain, is opening a $5 million tab to give away free tacos to customers across the U.S., except in New Jersey. That's because a fourth-generation Jersey Shore restaurant still owns the trademark in New Jersey for the phrase “Taco Tuesday.”
