Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(sound rattling) - T'ai Chi Chih is a moving meditation.
And the subtitle to that is joy through movement.
There're 20 movements, it's really easy.
Anybody can do them.
It's a mindfulness practice.
So, it's just a way to tune out from the hassles of a busy life and just connect with yourself and with nature a little bit.
T'ai Chi Chih works with the life force, so the chi, which is like earth energy.
It's actually kind of like acupuncture in a way, because it works with the meridian systems of the body, the energy system.
And the point is to unblock blocked energy and just to create a peaceful life.
After COVID, and everybody is shut in, and it's all about being alone and in fear.
Now, it's time for everybody to come together.
And these kinds of groups, yoga and T'ai Chi and book clubs and all that, it's a good way to create a better world, you know, with harmony and compassion.
And, you know, there's no better place to do it than up here in Enger Park, overlooking the lake.
It's beautiful.
