Congratulations.
He served on the Valley City Council for 28 years.
He was appointed by Governor Bob Riley at the time as a board member of the Alabama Department of Seniors.
And now he serves as the board chairperson.

What is your primary focus here?
I know what the bottom line is.
But how do you go about it?
- Ah, just trying to grow the Kingdom of God.
We have several singings and outreaches and Bible study on Wednesday night and several different functions going on.
- Mkay, so to a young minister starting out, real quick, tell 'em what you think, a couple of one-two-threes and A-B-C's, for their continuance in preaching the Gospel.
- One thing about it is you gotta do it for the Lord, Jesus Christ, first of all, and you've gotta have a loving heart, and you've gotta reach out to families and love folks into the Kingdom of God.

How long are your sermons every Sunday?
You go right to the point.

- It was a high school nickname from a football coach.
- Ah, oh, so that means- - Yeah, and it stuck with me all these years.

- What position do you play?
- I played on the line, played tackle.
- Oh my goodness.
What's your favorite game?

Favorite game of your high school.
- "Favorite game"?
- That you really did well.

- All my life basically, since I was about eight years old.
Yeah, I've been singing all my life.
I enjoy it, too.
- I got ya.
Who inspired you?
- Well, my grandmother was a guitar and a fiddle player, and my mom and dad played piano.
My dad played guitar, so I grew up singing with them.
- Great, right.
- I just write a lotta songs and just sing a lot and lead a lotta worship.
- Bet you probably written about 500 or 600 songs.
- I've got quite a bit.
- Okay, and you a praise and worship leader?
- Yes, Sir.

What's the name of your church?
- New Life Christian Center in Sardis, Alabama, yeah.
