Onondaga county officially opened a new seven and a half million dollar Animal Health Center last April. This facility will offer world-class healthcare for all zoo animals, strengthen the zoo's role as a teaching hospital for Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and meet and exceed the ever-higher standards for accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
