Temporary portable classrooms get sustainable makeover
Pre-fab classroom buildings, or "portables," are supposed to provide a temporary, affordable solution to overcrowded schools. But many are kept in use well beyond their intended expiration dates, accumulating additional costs and sometimes causing difficulties.
