Plans for Second Childrens Hospital appear to be at a standstill
Christus Santa Rosa has raised tens of millions of dollars and begun construction of a planned top tier Childrens Hospital downtown. Meanwhile plans by the UT Health Science Center to build a competing top tier children's research hospital at the Medical Center have hit a serious stumbling block. Many experts believe San Antonio cannot support two such hospitals.
