A new academy will challenge high-achieving students from kindergarten through 12th grade

For many years the San Antonio Independent School District seemed to be so focused on meeting state mandates to do better with low-performing students that it did virtually nothing for high achieving students. Districts have started initiatives to raise the ceiling as well as the floor. But none has been as ambitious as a new academy to challenge high-achieving students.
