New programs will help improve access to basic health screenings and preventive care

Texas is still recovering from dramatic family-planning cuts made four years ago. Those cuts devastated the women’s health safety net. While Texas continues to face the challenge of restoring the safety net for women’s preventive health care, two new programs will be coming out in July to help improve access to basic health screenings and preventive care.
